Pat Martinez is a prolific community leader, author, and an advocate for social capital building. She has over 25 years of expertise in Leadership, Business Development, Organizational Transformation, & Nonprofit Management. She works across three areas, 1) Fortify businesses and nonprofits, 2) Enhancing the pipeline of leaders, and 3) Paying it Forward through community service.
Since arriving in Charlotte in 1998, Martinez has been involved, developed and lead community building initiatives across Charlotte and within the Latino Community. She believes that its through intentional collaboration and community engagement that we can ignite change. Beside a member of the UCITY Family Zone, Martinez is engaged in local and national directorships, affiliations, as well as advisory roles. Martinez serves on NC Governor’s Commission on Inclusion and is a member at-large of the Andrea Harris Social, Economic, Environmental, and Health Equity Task Force, to address the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on communities of color. Martinez is a recurring mentor at Stanford University’s business up-scaling program, entitled Latino Business Action Network.
She holds a BS degree in Political Science from Rutgers University, has professional training in Paralegal Studies, Professional Behavioral & Motivators Analyst, and Community Problem-Solving Skills for Civic Leadership. Martinez is a Certified Trainer -Bridges Out of Poverty, Professional Life Coach, CBT Cognitive Behavior Life Coach, Stress Management Life Coaching, and finalizing her Emotional Intelligence and Mindfulness Life Coach Certification. She's working on her Master of Science in Management and Leadership.
