Mecklenburg County has been issued a Stay at Home order- People are enforced to stay at home unless they must leave to provide or receive certain essential services or engage in certain essential activities and work for essential business and government services. The homeless population is exempt from these orders but are encouraged to find shelter.

If you or anyone you know suspects that they have COVID-19 the CDC recommends you stay at home unless you are seeking medical care. Before seeking care it is best to call a medical provider.   • New confusion or inability to arouse

If you want to do a self-assessment of yourself if you are showing symptoms, Atrium Health and Novant Health are doing free online self-assessments on their websites.

Education

YMCA:

  • The YMCA has secured nearly $500,000 in gifts from some of the Y’s most loyal friends, donors and senior staff to jumpstart our newly formed YMCA Emergency Staff Relief Fund. They are also working to provide child care services at this time for people working at Atrium and Novant (6:30 am-6:30 pm 7 days a week); they will test everyone before they get childcare and provide food as well. This will begin on March 25th.
